Karipap Bakar

Karipap ni boleh dibakar dalam oven or fried. ikut suka hati...kalau
baked lagi sedap pasal tak de minyak.

Bahan-bahan:-

Pastry :
100gm plain flour
50gm wholemeal flour (kalau tak de, guna aje plain flour)
40gm butter
40gm shortening (kalau tak de, guna butter)
1 beaten egg mixed with 1 tablespoon water
1/4 tsp salt

Cara2:
1. Mix salt into flour mixture.

2. Mix butter + shortening into flour mixture, make it into bread crumbs. maknanya jgn uli, guna hujung jari gaul kan butter & tepung sampai dia jadi berderai2 macam serbuk roti.

3. Add the beaten egg little by little until flour becomes a firm dough. Lebihan telur disimpan untuk disapu atas karipap masa nak bakar nanti. jgn diuli dough tu, coz too much handling will make the dough keras and tak sedap.

4. Wrap the dough in cling wrap and leave it in the fridge for 30 mins.

5. Make dough in balls the size of limau purut or ikut suka hati how big/small u want ur puffs to be. Tips : roll the balls in between a piece of cling wrap so that dia tak melekat-lekat kat roller and ur work table.

6. Put the filling (ikut suka hati la, nak letak sardine ke, chicken or beef) in the middle and fold it over. pas tu buat la klim kat tepi dia macam karipap tu or if u prefer, flatten the edges and press with a fork so ada macam pattern sikit...ala yg macam kat bakery. last sekali sapu lebihan telur tadi kat atas the puffs. kalau nak goreng, tak payah le buat ni.

7. Masukkan kat dlm oven and bake at 150 C for 20 mins.
